Fancy showcasing your creative skills, raising some money for a great cause, and being in with a chance of winning some great prizes? If so, the Yardstick National Poetry Day competition is for you.
To celebrate this year’s National Poetry Day on 7 October, we’re asking you to write a poem on the theme of “personal finance”.
Whether you want to extol the virtues of pensions or ISAs, or you have a story to tell about the benefits of planning, simply put it in verse and you could win one of three book tokens.
And, along the way, we’ll be raising money for BookTrust, the UK’s leading children’s reading charity.
Each entry to the competition “costs” a £5 donation to BookTrust, and we’re thrilled that the charity will also judge the competition.
How to enter the National Poetry Day competition
To enter this competition, you must submit a poem on the theme of “personal finance”. The poem must be in English and no more than 40 lines in length.
To enter the competition, you should donate a minimum of £5 to Booktrust here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/yardsticknationalpoetryday2021
Then, email:

to poetry@theyardstickagency.co.uk by 23:59 on Monday 27 September 2021.
You can enter as many times as you wish, as long as each entry is accompanied by a minimum £5 donation to BookTrust via: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/yardsticknationalpoetryday2021
Anyone can enter – so spread the word and let’s raise as much as we can! Whether you fancy writing a limerick, a haiku, or a sonnet, we’d love to hear it!
