A major milestone for Yardstick – a big win and what it means for you

Our weekly emails are usually educational, helping you to improve your marketing. In this edition (for one week only), we’re doing something different because we have some exciting news to share.

Last night, at the FT Adviser Service Awards, the winner of ‘Best business marketing and promotion service to advisers 2024’ was announced.

And we won!

To celebrate, we took our senior leadership team to the ceremony at the Natural History Museum. And before you ask, we bought our table after we knew we’d won, so there’s no funny business here!

This is a brand-new award from a prestigious organisation, so you can understand why we’re excited to share the news with you.

A step towards achieving our vision

The FT Adviser Service Awards recognises firms that provide outstanding service to financial advice and planning firms.

To win, we had to prove that the advisers, planners and firms we work with receive an excellent return on their marketing investment and that we offer a broad range of strategies to help our clients grow their businesses.

So this award means far more than a shiny trophy for the office or a logo for our website:

  1. It’s an independent stamp of approval from a hugely respected third party.
  2. It reflects one of our biggest motivations for launching Yardstick – to help financial advisers and planners market their businesses more effectively.
  3. It’s a significant step towards achieving our vision that every financial services firm makes Yardstick their first choice for marketing.

A huge thank you

In traditional Oscars style, I want to thank a few people.

Firstly, to the Yardstick team.

You’re all brilliant, and we couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for creating such a great culture and delivering for our clients.

Secondly, our clients.

You trust us with your marketing and, therefore, in many ways, your business growth. We’ll never forget what a tremendous responsibility that is.

Finally, the financial services community.

There is a long list of people who have supported us on our seven-year journey. We appreciate all of you for your kind words, constructive feedback, and cheerleading.

That’s enough for now. Normal service will resume next week.

In the meantime, I’m off to find the Nurofen. I’ve got the mother of all hangovers!
