We had a stock photography photoshoot – you should too

Early in the month of March, we had a Yardstick stock photography day.

We gathered a handful of employees to model, and a photographer (me). The goal of the day was to produce content that is usable throughout our marketing campaigns – namely images that we can use through our website, newsletters, blogs, social media posts, and much more.

The photographs taken vary from candid office shots to photographs of the office exterior. Having access to this bank of imagery means that we can show and represent not only our Yardstick people but also the culture and the atmosphere we have built at The Yardstick Agency.

Here are some of the photographs

Having Yardstick branded photography elaborates on our professionalism, encourages exposure, expresses our personality, and evokes our culture.

With our stock photographs, we can put a face to the business. In an age of remote working, many of our clients won’t get the opportunity to meet us face-to-face. Showing the Yardstick team throughout our website and other platforms takes us away from being seen as a robot-like business.

Photography should be an important aspect of many marketing strategies with the rise of visual culture. As an online service business, there is a need to stand out from the crowd, and this means creating bespoke photography for our business and not using stock photographs that are seen across websites similar to ours.

Competing with other businesses in your industry it is important to stand out, and photography is an impactful way of doing so.

Make sure to keep an eye out for our new photographs and see not only where, but how we use them. You might get some photographic marketing ideas from us!
