Katie
Before working at The Yardstick Agency, Katie worked as an editor for a medical journal and as a freelance copywriter for a whole range of industries from counselling to construction, so she’s no stranger to writing about diverse and unusual topics. Now she works as one of our personal finance copywriters, creating thought-provoking newsletters and blogs for our clients.
Writing isn’t her only creative outlet though. When she’s not working, Katie can usually be found at her sewing machine or on the sofa hooking up a new crochet project. She also loves the outdoors and spends a lot of time walking her dog in the Essex countryside.

Full English – but make sure it’s veggie!
Red or White?
Neither, as I don’t drink. I do however have a very sweet tooth, so a hot chocolate will never go amiss (wild, I know!).
Summer or Winter?
Summer, especially when the days are at their longest and you can spend all evening outdoors.
Holiday Abroad or 'Staycation'?
For me, you can’t beat a staycation in beautiful Devon or the Lake District. I’m happiest in a cosy cabin by a log burner after a long day exploring the English countryside.
Fiction or Non-Fiction
Impossible to choose! I have a mixture of both on my bookshelves, although my to-be-read list just keeps getting longer.
