A message for Yardstick clients

“Investors nurse losses as London shares fall 2% amid bloodbath on global stock markets.”

That’s a headline we’ve just lifted from the Daily Mail online; the seventh most well-read website in the world.

The fall in global stock markets led the news yesterday. After further falls today will probably do so again this evening.

If a client contacts you, nervous about the headlines, you will no doubt reiterate the fundamental principles of investing and they will end the conversation suitably reassured. In fact, I’d be prepared to lay a significant bet that very few advisers or planners have received such calls today.

However, to help you take a more proactive stance (should you wish to do so) we are preparing a client communication which you may wish to consider using.

For clients who we produce newsletters for on a regular basis, this communication (should you wish us to send it) would come at no extra cost to your regular commitment to us.

For all other clients, we are happy to make the content available to you, again free of charge, should you wish to make use of it.

If you would like to discuss this in more detail or want us to send the communication to your clients, please don’t hesitate to drop an email to phil@theyardstickagency.co.uk

Otherwise, as you were!
