Get your own emoji guide to investing

You may have seen our client, Andrew Neligan, take the Twitter world by storm a couple of weeks ago with his financial emoji guide to investing.

An Emoji Guide to Investing 500pxAndrew’s handiwork (right) was seen by over a quarter of a million people on Twitter and reached as far afield as Australia, India, Mexico and the United States. He has also been asked by numerous financial planners if they could use the graphic.

Speaking about the financial emoji guide, Andrew said: ”I designed the graphic in a moment of inspiration with the intention of generating a small amount of local interest. I’ve been blown away by the response from Twitter users around the world, I never thought it would get the engagement it has. Phil and I both had the idea that we could use the interest to benefit those in need, especially now we enter the festive season.”

That got us thinking, what if we animated it?

Then we thought, what if we offered to add an adviser’s branding to the animation in return for a donation to Andrew’s nominated charities?

And, that’s exactly what we’ve done.

What’s the deal?

For a donation to Andrew’s chosen charities, we will add your branding to the static graphic and the animation.

You can then use both with your clients and on your website. Contact us for more information.

Which charities will benefit?

Andrew has set a target of raising £5,000 for his chosen charities; he has raised 24% of that target so far. Hopefully, donations from the ‘emoji guide to investing’ will take him up to and beyond his target.

All money raised will be split equally between two charities:

  • Space*, which provides opportunities for Devon’s disadvantaged and ‘at-risk’ youth population
  • Home of Hope, a Cape Town-based charity that provides care services for abused and abandoned children in South Africa, as well as those affected by Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD)

What donation is required?

We’ve decided not to set a specific donation, preferring to ask you to donate an amount you feel comfortable with. No minimum, no expectations but just remember who is benefitting at this time of year.

100% of your donation will go to the charities; no money will be retained by Neligan Financial or ourselves.

What do you have to do?

It really couldn’t be simpler.

Send an email to hi@theyardstickagency.co.uk:

  1. attaching your logo, and
  2. telling us exactly what compliance / regulatory wording you want to appear

We’ll then produce your animation and email it to you. At the same time, we’ll provide you with the bank details where the payment should be made.

Alternatively, if you have any questions please email hi@theyardstickagency.co.uk
