Clare comes to Yardstick with a background in copywriting for sectors as diverse as events, education, health, and the law.
Clare has an MA Creative Writing, which means she’s always on the lookout for a good story and loves nothing more than taking people’s passion for their business and turning it into a cracking good read on their website.
For Clare, copywriting isn’t just about writing; it’s about getting to know clients, and sharing their infectious enthusiasm for what they do. Being able to turn that into words on a page is a privilege.
When not writing, you can find Clare at a festival, indulging her other great love – music.
“Continental. (But am I allowed a slice of crispy bacon sneaked onto the plate too?).”
“Summer. More summer. And year-round summer.”
“I used to have a really bad fear of flying which meant lots of staycations. And I could happily take my holiday in Norfolk or Cornwall every year if sunshine was guaranteed. But because it’s not, and because I finally faced up to my fear, it’s abroad these days! ”
“Non-fiction. My writing hero is Michael Lewis, author of Moneyball and The Big Short. But I will happily read on any topic if it means I’m learning something new.”
