Website traffic from social media

What percentage of advisers’ website traffic comes from social media?

This week’s blog is short, but hopefully no less interesting for being so. It’s all about social media for advisers.

Let’s start by answering the question posed in the headline. The preliminary results from our 2017 Adviser Website Survey show the answer is 2.90%.

I’m amazed the figure isn’t higher. The UK has:

  • 10 million over 55s on Facebook
  • 13 million Twitter users
  • 15 million people on LinkedIn

I can’t help concluding that with such a low percentage of website visitors coming from social media for advisers, they are missing an opportunity. But that’s a blog for another day.

The figure for social media related traffic is just one of over 20 benchmarks we are compiling. When we release these in a few weeks, they will help you compare the performance of your website with that of other advisers.

But, to do this we need your help.

Our 2017 Adviser Website Survey closes tomorrow. If you’ve not already done so, please click the link to complete the survey. I promise it’ll only take a minute and the results will help you improve your website.

Thank you so much for your help, we do appreciate it. And if you need help with Facebook advertising then please get in touch.
